INCENSE BURNER. Palermo, mid-18th century.Inspector's mark R.U.P (Regia Urbis Panormi). Chased body with a retracted, slanting gadrooned collar. Lion masks on both sides as a base for the solid, curved handle made of acanthus, wing and head elements. Strongly curved wall with shaped cartouches. Round base, gadrooned at the end. Decorated with acanthus, C-shaped curves and engraved medallions with depictions of saints. 9.5x15 cm. 460 g. Repaired. Part of the Bulgari Collection.
