AN ANTIQUE GEMSTONE NECKLACE, circa 1860. Pink gold. Delicate necklace of 24 oval graduated gemstones: carnelian, agate, chalcedony, onyx, amethyst etc, with animal and mythological motifs, 4 - 5 gemstones probably antique, linked by sections of trace link chain. Oval agate clasp with an engraved inscription in Greek "Eros". L 36 cm.

Feines, zierliches Collier aus 24 ovalen, im Verlauf angeordneten Gemmen, darunter Karneol, Achat, Chalcedon, Onyx, Amethyst und weitere, mit Tiermotiven und mythologischen Darstellungen, 4-5 Gemmen davon wohl älter, in profilierten Fassungen und miteinander verbunden durch Ankerkettchen-Teilen. Ovaler Verschluss aus einem Achat mit gravierter griechischer Inschrift "Eros". L 36 cm.
