probably Hanau, 19th century.
The vessel part made of carved ivory with a mythological depiction of peacocks, putti and the Graces. The handle also of ivory and designed as two putti facing one another. The decoration of the cover corresponds to that of the foot, and is crowned by a seated putto and grape–vines. Bottom of the tankard marked. Minor losses and repairs. H ca. 26 cm.

Set in a romantic landscape with a Neo–Gothic castle and depicting a gentleman rider on a narrow bridge chasing the mirage of Fortuna in the form of nymph, closely followed by Death riding a black stallion. The good spirit in the form of a virgin is lying on the ground. Blind stamp sceptre mark, K.P.M, additional marks and numbers 330 and 200. 20 x 33 cm. In a black frame.

The stick and the tip of ivory in a palmette–shaped mount. The case lined with silk and decorated with an embossed gold rim. L of the parasol ca. 95.5 cm.
