The cover crowned with 5 spheres, 2 of which are in rock crystal (possibly replaced later). The central sphere features a cross. Later lock and piercing for a key. The underside of the base with inventory number O.2 in red.

One medallion with a depiction, probably of a saint, inscribed 'COMUNIS ENGADINE SUPERIORIS S. LUCI'. One armorial medallion inscribed 'Friedrich von Salis'. Small armorial medallion monogrammed 'I.H'. Circumferential banner, the lip inscribed 'COM. ENG. SUP. FRID. ASAL. PRAT'. The inside with an applied bronze coat of arms inscribed '89 PRET' and '15 LW'.

Fine modeling of the short curly hair and naturalistic depiction of the skin folds. The boy is supported by a stepped rock on a round base.
