Provenance:
A figure almost identical to the one on offer, with the exception of a garland of flowers, Proserpina's left arm, and the rectangular base, was created by Louis-Simon Boizot (1743-1809). Cf. Petit Palais, Musée des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris (Inv. No. SDUT1332).
