Louis XIV style, France, 19th century.
The case with brown tortoiseshell and brass-inlaid Boulle marquetry in the form of flowers, a canopy, birds and tendrils. Bronze mounts in the shape of acanthus leaves, shells and a figure with a harp. Bronze dial with relief decoration and white enamel cartouches. Movement with anchor escapement and half-hour strike on bell.
