This Patek Philippe ‘Triple Complication’ watch is one of the masterpieces of watchmaking for which the Manufactory has become famous. It combines three complications in one watch: a 5-minute repeater, a perpetual calendar and a chronograph. This perpetual calendar has the special feature of an instant calendar change, i.e. the day, date and month change instantly at midnight.
The three complications were first combined in a watch in the mid-1870s. Only a few examples of these Patek Philippe watches with ‘triple complication’ and perpetual calendar without leap year indicator are known to the public or have ever been presented at an auction.
