A BRONZE FIGURE OF CANDAVAJRAPANI. Tibet, 16th c. Height 20.5 cm. Base is cast separately.

Tibet, ca. 16. Jh. H 20,5 cm.
Bronze, der Kopf ist kalt bemalt. Der Donnerkeilträger steht in breitem Ausfallschritt auf einem schmalen Lotossockel. Schlangen winden sich um den Hals und haben ihre Köpfe auf den dicken Bauch gelegt. Die Rechte schwingt hoch erhoben den Vajra. Sockel separat gefertigt.
