TRUMEAU MIRROR - The Embden Collection
Early Louis XV, Paris, ca. 1740.
Wood finely and strikingly carved with rocaille, flowers, and leaves, and gilt. Matching curved frame. Top finished in a rocaille, from which a fully carved wolf peeks out.
H 133 cm, W 103 cm.
Losses to the gilding.
