PAINTED CLOCK WITH PLINTH, late Louis XV, the dial signed AUBIN A PARIS (active circa 1760/80), Paris circa 1760/70. Wooden case painted with peasant couple, flowers and leaves on brown ground. Enamel dial, anchor escapement striking the 1/2 hours on bell. Gilt bronze mounts and applications in the form of cartouches, flowers and scrolls. 32x25x130 cm. Provenance: Private collection, Belgium

Holz braun gefasst und bemalt mit Bauernpaar, Blumen und Blättern. Geschweiftes Gehäuse mit Blumenaufsatz auf sich nach unten verjüngendem Sockel. Emailzifferblatt mit arabischen Minuten- und römischen Stundenzahlen. Ankerwerk mit 1/2-Stundenschlag auf Glocke. Vergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -applikationen in Form von Blumen, Kartuschen, Voluten und Zierfries. 32x25x130 cm.
