SMALL MILK JUG WITH QUAIL MOTIF, Meissen, circa 1740.With four-sided cartouches on both sides in purple enclosing quail motif on the front and Indianische Blumen on the back in Kakiemon style on purple ground. The lid correspondingly decorated. Underglaze blue sword mark. H 16cm. The finial replaced. The lid edge with old restoration. Provenance: from a private collection, Solothurn

Oktagonale Form, zu beiden Seiten mit purpur gefassten Vierpasskartuschen, darin auf der Schauseite das Wachteldekor und auf der Rückseite Indianische Blumen im Kakiemonstil auf purpurfarbenem Fond, der Deckel entsprechend dekoriert, braune Randlinien. Unterglasurblaue Schwertermarke. H 16cm. Knauf ergänzt, Deckelrand mit alter Restaurierung.
