RARE OCTAGONAL CUP AND SAUCER, Meissen, ca. 1730. Painted in the Kakiemon style. Incised mark / (saucer), inventory number of the Japanese Palace 'N=352-W', incised and blackened on both parts. D saucer 12.9 cm, H cup 4.5 cm. 1 small chip on edge. Provenance: - Royal Saxon Collections, Japanese Palace, Dresden. - Collection Dr. Meyer-Werthemann, Zurich.

Jedes Stück bemalt im Kakiemonstil, mit einem runden Zentralmedaillon von eisenroten Chrysanthemenblüten auf einem purpurnen Gitterwerkgrund inmitten verstreuter Blüten und Blätter. Ritzzeichen / (Unterschale), Inventarnummer des Japanischen Palais 'N=352-W', eingeritzt und geschwärzt auf beiden Teilen. D Unterschale 12,9 cm, H Koppchen 4,5 cm. 1 minime Randbestossung
