A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF AMITAYUS WITH AUREOLE. Tibeto-chinese, around 1770. Height 20.5 cm. Part of kalasha lost.

Tibetochinesisch, um 1770. H 20,5 cm.
Feuervergoldete Messingbronze. Von einer prächtigen Flammenaureole eingerahmt sitzt die Figur auf einem rechteckigen Podest, über dessen Mitte ein Tuch mit Lotosblüte drapiert ist. Der Herr des unermesslichen Lebens trägt eine feine Krone und hat die Hände in dhyana-mudra in den Schoss gelegt. Ein Teil der Kalasha ist verloren.
