ROUND HANUMAN PLAQUE. Indian, 19th/20th c. D 17.6 cm. Bronze. The powerfully-built ape king holds a large lotus bud in his right hand and strides vigorously in an openwork roundel. He is sheltered by a canopy consisting of five snakes. Beneath him lies a small demon.
