LACQUER CHEST OF DRAWERS,Louis XV, stamped L. BOUDIN (Léonard Boudin, maitre 1761), Paris circa 1760. Wood lacquered on all sides in "Chinese style" with polychrome idealised park and pagoda landscape with figures against a black ground. The shaped chest with salient front angles, shaped frieze and legs. The centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers, rich matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots, some replaced, and richly shaped "Brèche d'Alep" top. 126x57x88 cm. Provenance: from a highly important Swiss private collection.
