MONKEY WITH SNUFF BOX, Paris, Samson, 2nd half of the 19th century. After a Meissen model from 1730, attributed to Johann Gottlieb Kirchner. No mark. H 45.8cm.

Nach einem Meissener Modell von 1730, Johann Gottlieb Kirchner zugeschrieben. Sitzend auf einem grossen Baumstumpf staffiert in Purpur, Grün, Gelb und Braun. Mit seiner rechten Pfote nimmt er Tabak aus einer Schnupftabakdose mit eisenrotem Gitterwerk bemalt, Schnauze, Augen, Brauen und Pfoten gehöht in Braun und Lachsrosa, um seinen Leib einen mit eisenrotem Gitterwerk bemalten und in Gold gefassten Gürtel. Ohne Marke. H 45,8cm.
