CAPITANO SPAVENTO' FROM THE COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE FOR THE DUKE OF WEISSENFELS,Meissen, circa 1744. Model by J.J. Kaendler and P. Reinicke. Underglaze blue sword mark. H 14 cm. Restorations to hat brim, one thumb and a sword hilt. Provenance: - Christie's New York, 27 April 1998, Lot 252. - Swiss private collection.

Modell von J.J. Kändler und P. Reinicke. In roséfarbener Jacke über goldfarbener Weste mit indianischen Blumen und hellblauer Kniebundhose, mit schwarzem Dreispitz. Unterglasurblaue Schwertermarke. H 14 cm. Restaurierungen an Hutkrempe, einem Daumen und Schwertgriff.
