HUNTING CUTLERY,Gothic, probably Germany, 15th century. Ivory and silver-gilt. Comprising 2 knives. The silver mount with crowned BS monogram. The iron blade with trefoil punch mark as well as same-shaped perforation. Leather scabbard. L 44 cm. One grip probably shortened in length.

gotisch, wohl Deutschland, 15. Jh.
Elfenbein und Silber vergoldet. Bestehend aus 2 Messern, der Griff in Elfenbein geschnitten mit Löwe bzw. Greif. Durchbrochene und gravierte Silbermontierung mit bekröntem Monogramm BS. Die Eisenklinge mit Schlag in dreipassiger Form sowie ebensolcher Durchbrechung. Lederscheide. L 44 cm. Der eine Griff wohl in der Länge gekürzt.
