COMMODE "EN SECRETAIRE",Empire, signed P. MARCION (Pierre Marcion, 1769 Paris 1840), Paris ca. 1800/05. Flamed mahogany. Front with 4 drawers, the top drawer hinged and lined with gold-stamped green leather, opening up a writing compartment with 3 drawers. Exquisitely finely matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and applications. Repaired grey/pink/white speckled marble top. 147x65x(open 88)x91 cm. Provenance: La Vieille Fontaine, Rolle.

Mahagoni geflammt. Rechteckiger Korpus mit vorstehenden Pilaster-Eckstollen auf profiliertem Sockel. Front mit 4 Schubladen, die oberste abklappbar, mit grünem, goldgepresstem Leder bezogen und 1 Schreibfach mit 3 nebeneinander liegenden Schubladen freigebend. Ausserordentlich feine matt- und glanzvergoldete Bronzebeschläge und -applikationen. Reparierte grau/rosa/weiss gesprenkelte Marmorplatte. 147x65x(offen 88)x91 cm.
