LARGE BUREAU-PLAT,so-called "bureau ministre", Louis XV, probably by J. DUBOIS (Jacques Dubois, maître 1742), Paris ca. 1745/50. Purpleheart and mahogany in veneer and inlaid with a lozenge pattern. Leather-lined top edged in bronze. Front with central drawer flanked by 1 drawer on each side. Same but sham arrangement on verso. Bronze mounts and sabots. Some losses. 199x99x80 cm. Provenance: - Formerly Antiquités Ribolzi, Monte Carlo. - Swiss private collection.
