SMALL PLATE WITH LAMBREQUIN DECORATION,
Meissen, ca. 1740.
Zigzag rim, painted in underglaze blue accentuated with gold and iron–red after an Imari design, with a broad lambrequin border with Indian flowering branches in the well. On the back of the rim: 2 plants from the lily family and flowering plum–tree branches. D 20.3 cm. Gilding and red enamel slightly rubbed.
