A GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF VAISHRAVANA ON HIS LION. Tibeto-chinese, 18th c. Height 17 cm. Unsealed. Turquoise inlays added.

Feuervergoldete Bronze mit nachträglich eingelegten Türkisen. Der Reichtumsgott, auch Hüter des Nordens, sitzt auf einem Schneelöwen und hält in der Linken die Juwelen speiende Manguste. Er trägt eine Rüstung, sowie eine fünfblättrige Krone. Weite Schals umwehen die Schultern. Unverschlossen.
