PAINTED CHEST,from the Alpine region, probably Bavaria or Tyrol, dated 1765. Wood, painted with bouquets of flowers and garlands, partly in the Arte povera style. Rectangular body with hinged cover. Panelled front. 125x61x85 cm.

alpenländisch, wohl Bayern oder Tirol, datiert 1765.
Holz bemalt mit Blumenbouquets und Girlanden, teils in Arte povera Manier. Rechteckiger Korpus mit Klappdeckel auf ausgeschnittenem Sockel. Front mehrfach kassettiert. 125x61x85 cm.
