A SMALL STUCCO HEAD OF A BUDDHA. Gandhara, 4th/5th c. H 9 cm. Remains of polychromy. Mounted on a woodstand. Minor chips.

Kopf des Buddha mit ruhigem Ausdruck. In seiner Kleinheit sehr ebenmässig modellierter Kopf mit schweren Lidern und sensiblem Mund. Der Haaransatz läuft über der Stirn spitz zusammen, die Löckchen werden durch kleine Vertiefungen angedeutet. Reste farbiger Fassung. Auf Holzsockel montiert. Min. best.
