The Beta caliber was developed by several renowned Swiss watch manufacturers. Introduced in 1970 at the Basel Trade Show, this model was the first quartz analog wristwatch by Patek Philippe. The excerpt from the Patek Philippe Archives confirms that the watch was manufactured in 1972 and sold in 1974.
