PAIR OF "MARQUISE" FAUTEUILS,

Louis XV, attributable to J.B. BOULARD (Jean Baptiste Boulard, maître 1754), Paris, ca. 1755/60.
Beech, molded and exquisitely carved with flowers, leaves, cartouches and decorative frieze, and with remains of the old gilding. Padded armrests. Used, red silk-velour cover, patterned with flowers and leaves, and decorative bullen nails. Cushion. Requires restoration.
