PAINTED SALON CLOCK, Gothic, South German circa 1550. Open rectangular case, bound with 2 horizontal bands, tall red painted bell cage with floral ornament, architectural style dial, movement and striking mechanism with iron wheels and balance, also countwheel with gears inside. With restorations, paintwork probably later. 15x22x56 cm. Provenance: O. Honegger collection Zurich.

gotisch, süddeutsch um 1550.
Offenes, rechteckiges Gehäuse mit Eckfialen und Nasen, verbunden durch 2 Querbänder. Hoher, rot gefasster Glockenstuhl mit Blumenornamenten und zentraler Abschlussfiale. Architektonisch gestaltetes Zifferblatt mit römischen Stundenzahlen. Geh- und Schlagwerk mit Eisenrädern und Waage, hintereinander angeordnet, sowie innenverzahnte Schlossscheibe. Restaurierungen, Bemalung wohl später. 15x22x56 cm.
