PAIR OF IMPORTANT BRONZE CANDELABRAS "AUX VICTOIRES", Empire, the model probably by C. GALLE (Claude Galle, maitre 1786), Paris circa 1810. Matte and polished gilt bronze and burnished bronze. With victory figure on sphere bearing a bowl with torches and 3 light branches. 1 light branch repaired. H 90 cm. Provenance: - private collection, Central Switzerland. - Galerie Koller auction 15.6.2004 (lot 1191). - from an English collection

Empire, das Modell wohl von C. GALLE (Claude Galle, Meister 1786), Paris um 1810.
Bronze matt- und glanzvergoldet sowie brüniert. Auf Kugel stehende Viktoria, auf ihrem Haupt eine Schale mit Fackel und 3 Lichtarmen tragend, auf hohem, rechteckigem und blätterbeschmücktem Sockel. 1 Lichtarm repariert. H 90 cm.
