CLOCK "A L'ELEPHANT". Late Louis XV, the dial inscribed J.B. BAILLON A PARIS, Paris, 19th century. Gilt bronze, the porcelain figure from China, probably 19th century., the clock with enamel dial and Paris movement striking the 1/2 hours on bell. With repair to elephant's trunk. 38x32x65 cm. Provenance: Private collection, Switzerland.

Bronze vergoldet und Porzellan. Weisser Elefant mit emporgestrecktem Rüssel, auf dem Rücken das runde, blätterbeschmückte Uhrgehäuse mit sitzendem Chinesen tragend, auf blätter- und blumenbeschmücktem Bastionssockel. Emailzifferblatt mit arabischen Minuten- und römischen Stundenzahlen. Pariser Werk mit 1/2-Stundenschlag auf Glocke. Reparaturen am Rüssel. 38x32x65 cm.
