SUGAR BOWL WITH QUAIL MOTIF, Meissen, circa 1740.Painted on both sides with purple four-sided cartouches, the front with quail motif and the back with Indiansiche Blumen in Kakiemon style on purple ground. Matching lid. Underglaze blue sword mark, impressed number 29. D 9.5cm. The finial replaced. Provenance: from a private collection, Solothurn

Oktagonale Form, bemalt zu beiden Seiten mit purpur gefassten Vierpasskartuschen, auf der Schauseite das Wachteldekor und auf der Rückseite Indiansiche Blumen im Kakiemonstil auf purpurfarbenem Fond, der Deckel entsprechend bemalt mit brauner Randlinie. Unterglasurblaue Schwertermarke, Pressnummer 29. D 9,5cm. Knauf ergänzt.
