CHINOSIERIE-DECORATED MILK JUG, Meissen, circa 1735.With rocaille handle and applied shell, painted in iron red in the style of J.E. Stadler. Painted on both sides with Chinese figures on a terrace, with Indianische Blumen. The spout with acanthus leaf decoration in relief, heightened in black. Underglaze blue sword mark. H 12cm. The lid probably from a different set and with small restoration. Provenance: from a private collection, Solothurn
