LARGE FIGURE OF WHITE TARA in repoussé technique and gilded. The hair and face painted. The finely chased crown set with turquoises. Mongolei, 18th century. H 45 cm. Some stones lost.

in Repoussé, vergoldet. Haare und Gesicht kultisch bemalt. Reich geschmückt sitzt sie im Meditationssitz auf einem einfachen Lotosthron. Die fein getriebene Krone ist mit Türkisen besetzt und trägt in der Mitte einen Garudakopf. Neben der rechten Schulter blüht ein Lotos, Schals umwehen die Arme der Figur. Als Symbol ihres allumfassenden Schauens trägt sie auf der Stirn, sowie in den Hand- und Fussflächen zusätzliche Augen. Mongolei, 18. Jh. H 45 cm. Steine zum Teil verloren.
