IMPORTANT ROYAL CHEST OF DRAWES, Louis XV, sign. M. CRIAERD (Mathieu Criaerd, maitre 1730), the bronzes with "c couronné", with inventory stamp from CHATEAU DE MARLY, Paris circa 1745/50. Satinwood and amaranth veneer also finely inlaid with lozenge and diamond patterns. The centrally bombé front with 2 sans traverse drawers. With exceptionally fine matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots, some replaced, and a richly shaped "Griotte Rouge"-top. 133x60x84 cm. Provenance: - formerly in the Royal collection at Château de Marly, France. - from a French collection.
