MARBLE BATH, probably Roman, the relief probably 17th century "Carrara"-marble. The front with exceptionally fine relief of lion flanked by bowl of fruit, flowers, leaves, cartouches and frieze. 175x70x61 cm. Provenance: Private collection, Switzerland.

wohl römisch, die Reliefierung wohl 17. Jh.
Carrara-Marmor. Rechteckige Wanne mit abgerundeten Seiten und ausladender, teils fein profilierter Lippe. Die Schauseite mit ausserordentlich feinem Relief, eine von Löwen flankierte Früchteschale sowie Blumen, Blätter, Kartuschen und Zierfries darstellend. 175x70x61 cm.
