LADY'S DESK "A FLEURS", Louis XV, stamped HACHE FILS A GRENOBLE (Jean-Francois Hache, 1730-1801), Grenoble circa 1759/60. Maple, burlwood, cherry, sycamore and various dyed precious woods in veneer, exceptionally finely inlaid on all sides. Fall-front writing surface lined with gold-stamped red leather. Fitted interior of drawers and a large compartment. Silver-plated inkstand. Fine, matte and polished gilt bronze mounts and sabots. Freestanding. 90x45x(open 78)x94 cm. Provenance: - J.L.
