IMPORTANT SKELETON CLOCK,Louis XVI, the dial signed. VALLE HGER DE MONSIEUR (active circa1760/80), Paris circa 1770/80. Matte and polished gilt bronze and "marbre statuaire". The lyre-shaped clock case with putto over medallion. The clock with exceptionally fine enamel chapter ring with hours, minutes, days of the month and of the week, with 6 hands. A very fine skeleton movement with 4/4 striking on 2 bells. With gilt bronze applications in the form of cornucopias, musical instruments, bows, garlands, flowers and beading. Some parts with mark "G". 29x13x70 cm. Provenance: private collection, Zurich.
