PROCESSIONAL CROSS,probably Upper-Rhine, circa 1300. Wooden core mounted with chased and gilt copper. With champleve plaques depicting the symbols of the Evangelists and similar center plaque as nimbus. Cast bronze Christ with remains of gilding. Verso also with copper mounting, the ends with four chased copper quatrefoils depicting the Evangelists' symbols. Bronze figure of Mary at the center. Node at lower end of the cross with 5 enamel filled rhombuses. H 63, W 38 cm. Heavily restored and varnished. Some losses. The bronze figures and enamel plaques probably non-matching.
