COMMODE,Early Baroque, Lombardy circa 1680/1700. Walnut, burlwood, local fruitwoods and finely engraved ivory with inlays and partly ebonized. Front with 4 drawers, the top drawer narrower. Fine bronze mounts and drop handles. 142x64x98 cm. Provenance: from a German castle collection.

Frühbarock, Lombardei um 1680/1700.
Nussbaum, -wurzelmaser, Fruchthölzer und fein graviertes Elfenbein eingelegt mit Blumen, Bandelwerk und Zierfries sowie teils ebonisiert. Rechteckiger Korpus mit vorstehendem Blatt auf profiliertem Sockel. Markant eingezogene Front mit 4 Schubladen, die oberste schmäler. Feine Bronzebeschläge und -hänger. 142x64x98 cm.
