GHISI, GIORGIO MANTOVANO (1512 Mantua 1582).Cupid and Psyche, 1574. Copper engraving on wove paper watermark: the letters PM (?). 32.3 x 23.4 cm. Bartsch 45; Lewis/Lewis IV; Bellini 53 IV. - After the reduction of the plate. Even impression with margin (ca. 1 cm) around the plate edge. Remains of old mount in the corners verso. Very good condition. - Also included: Same The same artist, after Theodoro Ghisi. Angelica and Medoro, 1570. Copper engraving, 29.2 x 20.5 cm. Bartsch 62, Lewis/Lewis 43 IV (?) The image slightly cut with careful closed long tear in the lower area of the picture, with small condition issues. From the collection of Conrad Baumann v. Tischendorf (2nd half of the 19th century.). - Rare.

Cupido und Psyche, 1574. Kupferstich auf Bütten mit Wz. Buchstaben PM (?). 32,3 x 23,4 cm. Bartsch 45; Lewis/Lewis IV; Bellini 53 IV. - Nach der Verkleinerung der Platte. Gleichmässiger Druck mit Rand (ca. 1 cm) um die Plattenkante.Verso in den Ecken Reste alter Montierung. Sehr guter Erhaltungszustand. - Beigabe: Derselbe, nach Theodoro Ghisi. Angelica und Medoro, 1570. Kupferstich, 29,2 x 20,5 cm. Bartsch 62, Lewis/Lewis 43 IV (?) Die Darstellung leicht beschnitten, mit sorgfältig geschlossenem langem Riss im unteren Bildbereich und kleinen Erhaltungsmängeln. -Aus der Sammlung Conrad Baumann v. Tischendorf (2.H.19. Jh.). - Selten.
