A PAIR OF CARVED AND LACQUERED SUTRA COVERS WITH GOLD LACQUER LOTOS SCROLLS. Tibet, ca. 18th c. Length 71, hight 26.5 cm.

Holz, geschnitzt und lackiert. Im Mittelpaneel eine geschweifte geschnitzte Kartusche mit Doppelvajra und Ranken, links und rechts jeweils eine halbe Kartusche. Auf dem Rahmen oben und unten ähnliches Motiv. Der Fond mit feiner Goldlackmalerei von dichten Lotosranken auf rotbraunem Grund.
