(Carpentras 1758–1846 Montmorency) Italian landscape with group of dancers in the foreground. Oil on paper laid on canvas. Verso with inscription on label: "Pido, eine Landschaft, geschätzt von [Marquard] Wocher" Later corrected by the art historian Prof. Friedrich Müller to Joseph Xavier Bidault. Label on centre top of frame: "30 Frau Pfarrer Sarasin / 2 Oehlgemälde". 37.4 x 49.2 cm. Provenance: In the collection of the Basel family Forcart and Sarasin and their descendents continuously since 1834–1834 Esther Forcart-Weiss and Johann Rudolf Forcart (1749–1834).–Via inheritance to Johanna und Theodor Sarasin-Bischoff, Basel.–Today, via inheritance to a Swiss private collection

Öl auf Papier auf Leinwand aufgezogen.
Verso mit Inschrift auf Etikette: "Pido, eine Landschaft, geschätzt von [Marquard] Wocher" [Marquard Wocher 1760-1830; Basler Maler der 1806 das berühmte Thuner Panorama malte]. Später von Kunsthistoriker Prof. Friedrich Müller auf Joseph Xavier Bidault korrigiert. Etikette auf dem Rahmen oben mittig: "30 Frau Pfarrer Sarasin / 2 Oehlgemälde".
