Literature:
See a very similar disc brooch, also from the Kofler-Truniger Collection at Christie's London (auction 2.7.25, lot 70). That example was part of the former Marc Rosenberg Collection (1852–1930) (see auction catalog Hermann Ball & Paul Graupe: Sammlung Marc Rosenberg. Berlin 1929, lot 89 with ill.). A further comparison can be made with an example from the Cleveland Museum of Art in Ohio (inv. no. 2007.163).
