Our thanks to Richard Green who has suggested an attribution to George Chambers (1803 – 1840).
Oil on canvas, original canvas. Paint surface with superficial pollution and a net of craquelures. Partly with scratch marks and slightly visible canvas stretcher marks.
Under UV: some touch-ups along the edges and in the sky as well as dotted on the boats. Varnish appears in fluorescent green.
