Mahogany inlaid with light woods in a diamond-shaped latticework and fleurons. Gilt bronze shaft designed as a column with two playing cherubs holding a laurel wreath. Acanthus-leaf capital and base. On a trefoil-shaped, curved base. Brass and bronze fittings designed as finials, leaf friezes, rosette and pearl friezes. Metal frame for a round top.
Ø 76 cm, H 77.5 cm.

Bisque. Cupid fighting with a putto over a flaming heart. At his feet, the attributes of Cupid, quiver and bow. On an oval base, one of them naturalistically designed. Both signed Pigalle and d'après Pigalle, respectively. One with maker's mark VTM Porcelaine de France, the other with a similar, ligated mark.
