PAIR OF PAINTED TAPESTRY STOOLS, Empire, Paris circa 1810. Shaped and carved beech, painted green and parcel gilt. With exceptionally fine Beauvais tapestry covers with Imperial motifs. 58x54x54 cm. Provenance: from an important European private collection.

Buche profiliert und beschnitzt mit Rosetten, Blättern und Zierfries sowie grün gefasst und teils vergoldet. Rechteckiger Sitz auf geschweiftem Kreuzsteg. Ausserordentlich feiner Beauvais-Tapisseriebezug mit imperialen Motiven. 58x54x54 cm.
