A LACQUER GILT WOODEN DOUMU WITH 18 ARMS. China, 17th/18th c. Height 37 cm. One arm replaced. Minor chips and restoration.

Holz mit Lackvergoldung, die Haare sind blau gefasst. Die gefalteten Haupthände auf Brusthöhe formen die manidhara-mudra, die übrigen Hände halten verschiedene Attribute. Doumu wird heute noch als Mutter des Sternbilds des Grossen Wagens verehrt. Ein Unterarm ersetzt, min. best. und rest. Ein paar Attribute verloren
