A BRONZE FIGURE OF A HIGH SHAKYAPA MONK.

Tibet, 16th/17th c. Height 13.5 cm. Restored. Consecration plate lost.
Bronze. Barhäuptig und in eine mehrschichtige Mönchsrobe mit gravierten Säumen gehüllt sitzt er auf einem umlaufend gestalteten Lotosthron. Die Rechte hat er lehrend erhoben, die Linke hält ein beschriftetes Sutrenbuch im Schoss. Sockelplatte verloren. Rest.
