TABLE THERMOMETER "A LA PAGODE",George III, attributed to M. BOULTON (Matthew Boulton, Birmingham 1728-1809 London), England circa 1780/85. Matte and polished gilt bronze and white/grey marble, with figures of painted ivory. The pagoda-shaped case with columns at the angles and terrace with 4 figures, telescope and measuring instruments, set on a shaped plinth with further figures. The front with steps before facade with thermometer. 27x29x38 cm Provenance: from a very important European private collection An exceptionally rare item.
