HANNOT, JOHANNES

1633 Leiden 1684

Johannes Hannot specialised in still lifes, mainly with fruits, and worked in Leiden throughout his life. He also worked as a wine merchant. His still lifes are strongly reminiscent of those of Jan Davidsz. de Heem (1606–1683). His first dated still life is from 1654.
