TANGKA OF THONGKHAPA TSOGSHIN.Tibet, 19th/20th c. 86x65 cm. Brocade mounting. Family tree of the Gelugpa lamas and depiction of the Gelugpa pantheon. At the top of the tree of life Tsongkhapa sits with an alms bowl in his hand and a Buddha image on his breast. He is surrounded by large groups of monks on clouds, as well as the entire pantheon. At the top right Amitabha is enthroned in the Western Paradise, at the left Avalokiteshvara sits in his paradise on the Potala mountain. Brocade mounting.

TANGKA OF YAB-YUM VAJRADHARA.Tibet, 19th c. 55x33.5 cm. The Adhibuddha holds a Vajra and Ghanta in crossed hands, above him sits Avalokiteshvara, flanked by Sarvabuddha Dakini and Green Tara. At the bottom edge stands the wrathful six-armed Mahakala in a ring of fire. Excellent painting, though colour faded and fabric darkened.
